Mother's Day

I know I haven't been here since Earth Day.  We took two full weeks to finish up all our Mother's Day Crafts to make sure each child (21 students) got all five crafts we did plus for the Grammas that we see every week, we had the kiddos make something special for them!

We made hand print pictures, footprint pictures, An angel dough ornament/keepsake with a special poem that I found and tweaked just a tad, A picture frame which included a picture of mommy and kiddo, and a simple questionnaire that was answered by each child about their mom! I did in all the chaos forget to take a picture of the picture frame and the footprint page.  I used a picture from last year.  The only thing done differently this year, we didn't cut the hole for the picture frame, we just rubber cemented in the middle of the card stock and I typed up and printed the year instead of hand writing it.  The only thing different this year with the footprints we used bright pink, light green, and light purple paint which turned out great. (Unless you keep painting over the colors, you get an awkward shade of gray!)

The angel wings were colored in with silver glitter glue, for once dried, it laminates quite well! The dough is just a simple salt dough that I found on the internet.

For the special Grandmothers that we see weekly or right there at, we had the kiddos cut out and paint after we baked a heart dough ornament/keepsake with a special personalized card and a flower hand print picture.  I wrote the poem for the Gramma Card.

I added closeup pictures of the poems.  The clip art was all found on

I'd like to dedicate this post to all the Mothers, Grandmothers, Aunts, Dads, or any other family member that have the MOTHER role in their precious child's life!

God Bless You!
